Heart Rate and GPS Watches

This is the first blog post but not the last one that I’ll be using to ask a question rather than discuss something. I don’t like carrying my phone when I’m running and often want to run with just a water bottle and my watch. This is mainly because being Deaf, I can’t hear music so my phone being dragged around is pointless except for GPS and to keep time. I truly believe that if I would be using a watch rather than a phone I would do much better with my time and be more focused.

My Question is: What kind of HR/GPS watch do you use and how would you rate it, why would you give it a good or bad review?

I use a Garmin 410 which I bought at the begining of January. I’d rate it 10/10, it has all the features I need as well as a Heart Rate Monitor. GarminConnect is great for displaying the stats you get from it.

GIRL!! Talk about inspiration! I just love you!!
Anyway, I don’t do the heart rate monitor/watch thing…the chest strap ANNOYED ME! Anyway, I do have some friends who use them and LOVE THEM! So I will get back to you on this.
Keep up the great work, love your blog! 🙂

I have the Garmin Forerunner 405CX and I love everything about it. I only wear the heart rate monitor when I am running under five miles though because if I wear it on long runs it leaves an imprint under my breast and starts irritating me.
